One of my favorite homilies was one where the priest invited us to meditate on the sacraments which we have received, and picture Christ Himself performing them.
Imagining Him holding you, baptizing you, and then whispering softly “You are mine now, forever. I’ll never leave you.”
Picturing Him kissing you gently on the forehead, looking in your eyes, lifting you to your feet, and saying “I forgive you.”
Offering Himself in the Eucharist, saying “I want this more than anything in the world, to be with you.”
